Trilly & Truly was a men's fashion label founded by American rapper Lupe Fiasco in the late 2000s.[1] In 2016, Fiasco revealed over Twitter, "All of the Trilly & Truly collections and graphics were designed by a young [Virgil Abloh]."[2]

In December 2006, he collaborated with Japanese streetwear label Swagger to launch the 'Big-O IgLu' collection—the name a play on the founders' names—with five limited edition items for the upcoming Winter.[3] Shortly followed by this in 2007, was a limited-edition t-shirt in celebration of Fiasco's Japan tour that year. The shirt's front depicts a cartoon version of Fiasco, otherwise known as 'Lupe Flastroboy,' who wears a fit from the "I Gotcha" video and flies through the solar system.[4] In the summer of 2007, they released a collection entitled Haru, meaning 'Spring' in Japanese. Available in white and green, the front of the shirts display a roasted chicken wearing a crown with the speech bubble over it, "The Fried Chicken Kings." On the back, it features cartoon versions of the Swagger founders (Big-O and Iggy), along with Fiasco, who chase a live chicken. The shirts were sold exclusively at St. Alfred's in Chicago.[5] In December 2007, they collaborated again to release their third collection, Fall of Rome (F.O.R.), available at St. Alfred, Patta (Amsterdam), and choiceisyours.jp.[6] In 2008, they created the "Lupestein" t-shirt that was made available in three colors: black, gray, and white. The shirt's front exhibits a mini cartoon green Frankenstein with glasses and a 'L' printed on his letterman jacket.[7]

In November 2009, Fiasco partnered with the boutique shop, RSVP Gallery, where they announced, "We are proud to present 'Red Box,' our latest collaboration with our good friend Lupe Fiasco. This exclusive RSVP curation will feature various installations from the collaborative fashion and design projects of Lupe Fiasco—all of which will be displayed in Lupe's exceptional red Goyard 'box.'"[8] It began with "Hirstakami in the Dark" t-shirts that he co-designed as part of his indie rock band, Japanese Cartoon.

In June 2010, he launched the Spring/Summer 2010 collection, "Basic Info," which consisted of three polos, three pants, and three tees.[9] Followed by this was "Overthrown Junta" the same year, hosting "all leather goods,"[10] where he worked with designer Marisol Martinez on camouflage leather jackets, either with sleeves or sleeveless. They teamed up with the New York-based company Coyote Leathers.[11] On Esquire's Style Blog in November, they gave an exclusive preview of the line.[12]
