Studio SV is a production company founded by Lupe Fiasco and Bonnie Chan Woo in 2017. Based in Hong Kong, their first released project was Beat n Path, a documentary series where Fiasco travels across China and learns martial arts from various grand masters.
In an official statement, Fiasco said, "At our core we seek to nurture and champion creative talent who have like-minded visions of creating exceptional cross-cultural content that can be enjoyed universally—not just in specific countries or regions." Woo added that their first series originated from her idea of documenting the rapper's experience in China, and continued, "As we examined our combined resources, and the landscape of the entertainment industry, we saw a tremendous opportunity for a new approach."[1]
