"Slave Ship (Interlude)" is an instrumental song by American rapper Lupe Fiasco, released as the fifth track from his seventh studio album, Drogas Wave (2018). Along with being the first interlude from the record, it features a single instrument, the violin, which is performed by Rosy Timms. Timms has also worked on the four season instrumentals from his album, Tetsuo & Youth (2015).
A haunting and mournful track, it builds up to the next song, "WAV Files," which tells the story of slaves who jumped overboard from the slave ships. This will also be Timms' longest piece, with the duration of over three minutes.
