The Late Show with David Letterman is an American late-night talk show hosted by David Letterman on CBS.
Lupe Fiasco made several appearances on the show as a musical guest, which was held at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City. His debut on Letterman was with the single "Superstar," where the episode aired on January 2, 2008. In promotion of his Lasers album, he performed "The Show Goes On," which aired on April 26, 2011. On February 28, 2012, he accompanied Robert Glasper (keys) and Bilal (vocals) onstage, where the three performed track four off Black Radio.[1] Joined with Guy Sebastian, they performed "Battle Scars" on September 27, 2012.[2]
Reception[]
Rolling Stone reported for Fiasco's 2011 performance, "The song, which interpolates hooks from Modest Mouse's hit "Float On," was a good choice for the appearance—the rocked-up energy of his live band brought out an aggressive quality in the often laid-back Lupe."[3]
