"Had Enough" is a song by Irish rapper Nu-Centz featuring Lupe Fiasco, debuting over Dublin radio station SPIN 1038's Fully Charged on January 19, 2012. In May 2011, Rob "Nu-Centz" Byrne won Ireland's First Rap Superstar Competition by public vote to collaborate with Fiasco.[1] The original track was featured on Nu-Centz and Terawrizt's 2011 collaborative mixtape Sense the Terror 2, which featured musicians Class B and Irish R&B singer Gabriella Marsella. The song samples the 1982 song "Da Da Da" by German band Trio.
Contest[]
Irish web company Entertainment.ie reported of the contest, where SPIN 1038 teamed up with Fiasco to search for "Ireland's first Rap Superstar." The winner would get to have Fiasco pen a verse for their track and being played on the radio. Fiasco explained, "if you bring a nice record, we'll narrow it down to three, we'll pick the best one and I'll do a verse on it."
The competition began on March 7, 2011, and narrowed down to three finalists by Fiasco and David Miller (Vice President of Atlantic Records). The following songs were "Had Enough," "Get Loose" by Pop Dogg featuring Raw Soul, and "Wordplay" by Phrase. Voting was opened to the public on April 14 over SPIN's website, where listeners got the opportunity to listen to each track. The winner was announced the following week on April 21 on Fully Charged (with Ryan Philips and Tracy Clifford).[2] "Had Enough" aired in January 2012 to much radio success.[3][4]

Lyrics[]
[Intro: Lupe Fiasco, Nu-Centz]
You are now listening to Lupe
And my big homie, Nu-Centz
Lupe, I've had enough, man
Let's go!
[Verse 1: Nu-Centz]
I used to go into work around eight
Ryan, Tracy, on the soundwave, it's late
Tryna get to sleep and my eyes hit the job
I just wanna get a piece of the pie
Sat down, [?] till like five
Is this the sole reason that I'm alive?
What about all the dreams that I had
And I'm making hit tracks with the beats that I have
Some people are glad, thinkin' it's a great life
And when it [?] everyday, maybe hate life
I would've rather be a [?]
Than being stuck up in this desperate [?]
How did I end up with this awful job
Has me out on the [?], it's a constant job
Now I don't know how to stop the [?]
Guess I'm just another twenty [?]
And lost a plot, I'm—
[Chorus: Lupe Fiasco]
This life is taking my time and energy
Wasting my days in [?]
Simple release is all I really need, too
Release me now, 'cause I got miles to see
Lupe! Let's go!
[Verse 2: Lupe Fiasco]
Isn't it unfortunate how torturous the chase to the fortune get?
But it's nice [?] a portion is
How quickly it slips through your portly fists
Then out through the kid comes Porky Pig
[?] go back to being poor-ish
But no remorse you did
So you'll never be as big as Morrisey is
But I don't even sing, I just want my CD to come out and play like the [?]
Come to America, [?] thesaurus
Do a concert just to hear him say that he sung ill like Notorious
I mean rap, then hear him on repeat, my choruses, maybe get awards to it
But I can't even afford to record this, 'cause I'm—
[Chorus]
This life is taking my time and energy
Wasting my days in [?]
Simple release is all I really need, too
Release me now, 'cause I got miles to see
[Verse 3: Nu-Centz]
Wake up at [?] and I'm bored again
I acted out my head [?] again and loud snoring
I'm just tryna find a Jordan [?]
[?] is enormous
I'm tryna figure out what to do with the day
When I realize [?] snooze of the way
[?]
Wishing one day my music would pay
And maybe success is coming, I'd rather us DJs stand for something
I gotta think of a way that I can get the buzzin'
I'm gonna spend my whole life stuck with next to nothing
Can't move, stuck in this interlude
[?] my luck isn't the interview
[?] another job, feeling nothing but miniscule
But for now I guess this shit will do, 'cause I'm—
[Chorus: Gabriella Marsella]
This life is taking my time and energy
Wasting my days in [?]
Simple release is all I really need, too
Release me now, 'cause I got miles to see
[Outro: Nu-Centz]
D'you know what?
I suppose it could be worst
Y'know what I mean?
