Lupe Fiasco Wiki

Fahrenheit 1/15 Part I: The Truth Is Among Us is a mixtape by American rapper Lupe Fiasco, self-released as a physical CD in 2004. It compiles freestyles and old songs recorded while signed to Arista Records, and features guest appearances from Bishop G, GemStones, and Shayla G. It was played over Fiasco and Bishop G's weekly radio show, FNF Radio, where the record was available to callers as giveaways.

Critical reception[]

In a retrospective review, The Fader wrote of the tracks, "They capture Lupe Fiasco at his sharpest, before his work turned to labyrinthine, high-concept opuses, and before it was saddled with carrying a school of rap ideology he never really identified with. The tone here is markedly different from the one he would frequently adopt on his debut album […] it lays things bare but isn't judgmental; it's meaner but more empathetic. It was Lupe without the baggage of history, and he never sounded exactly like this again."[1]
