Discord is an instant messaging and VoIP social platform which allows communication through voice calls, video calls, text messaging, and media and files. Communication can be private or take place in virtual communities called "servers". A server is a collection of chat rooms and voice channels which can be accessed through invitation links.
In 2022, American rapper Lupe Fiasco created a server, titled "LFT by Lupe Fiasco," during his launch of LFTs. Along with announcements and exclusive offers for LFT holders, he hosted giveaways in promotion of his albums, Drill Music in Zion (2022) and Samurai (2024).
Upon entering the server, Seymour the Robot will greet the visitor and ask to verify. Various channel topics include sharing music, artwork, discussing fashion, books, science, and Twitter updates.
