In 2022, Fiasco's eighth studio album, Drill Music in Zion, was released. He was announced as a recipient of the MLK Visiting Professorship Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he taught a course on Rap. During the Fall, he founded the association Société Internationale d'Ur, with its inaugural tournament held in December 2022 at MIT. He embarked on The Cool 15th Anniversary Tour from September to October, and had his sophomore studio album, Lupe Fiasco's The Cool, certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[1]
